ABOUT US

The
Barbados Judo Association was established on August 26, 1966. It was
registered as a charity in 1992.
Currently there are six (6) clubs in the Association; Barbados Judo
Institute, Keikath School of Martial Arts, Marine Gardens Judo Club,
Pinelands Judo Club, Rising Sun School of Martial Arts and Shindokan
Judo Club. Membership stands at approximately one hundred and eighty
composed of both competitors and non-competitors.
An Executive Committee comprised of a President, Vice-President,
Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Secretary/ Treasurer, Public Relations
Officer, Sports Director, Refereeing Director and a delegate from each
club is charged with the administration of the Association.
The Headquarters of the Association is located at the National Stadium,
Waterford, St. Michael
AFFILIATION
The Barbados Judo Association is affiliated locally to the Barbados Olympic Association (www.olympic.org.bb) and the National Sports Council. Its regional and international affiliations include the Caribbean Judo Confederation, The Pan American Judo Union (www.pju.org) and the International Judo Federation (www.intjudo.com)
